The section of The Vicomte de Bragelonne in this Dumas collection from MobileReference is seriously flawed. Somewhere after chapter 50, chapters begin randomly repeating themselves. Then in chapter 63, a large portion of the beginning of the chapter (at least several pages) is simply missing! I notified B&N that they should pull this book but they simply gave me a refund. Don't spend your money on a disappointment.

Huge chunks are missing; many chapters are repeated and out of order. Deeply flawed editing. I hope they clean up this mess. Fortunately the first few novels are intact.
The classic stories themselves are great; Dumas was a master of the adventure novel.

This is the works that inspired Steven Brust to write his Khaavren romances. These are reads that are hard to put down!

I read "The Count of Monte Cristo" and I honestly could not put it down! After that, I read "The Three Musketeers," "Twenty Years After," and some of his other short stories. Dumas is a master of the classical French writing with his detailed plots and descriptions of characters. Unlike some authors who describe too much, Dumas is able to have the perfect amount of descriptions to make the story come to life! All of Dumas' works are engaging, exciting, suspenseful, and a bit romantic. Through his unique writing style, you are able to form a connection not only with the main characters, but you'll also understand why the "bad guys" are the way they are. The NOOKbook is easy to navigate and quite convenient. I had bought a few of his books for my NOOK, but it is so much easier to have them all in one place. You will definitely not regret buying this!
