All the classic works by Hans Christian Anderson plus a biography. If you enjoy the classics, you will like this book. If you are new to the concept of the original fairy tales, you may not enjoy it as much. As with the fairy tales by the Grimm Brothers, these are NOT the Disney versions. Historically, fairy tales were written to teach life lessons and have a dark and sometimes violent side to them. Over 2,300 pages. Some of the stories written by this author are repeated in a slightly different version - there is a fairy tales section and a stories section - so the book is repetitive at times. However, at just 99 cents, it's still a great value.
