The result of a remarkable three-year-long investigation that took award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Marie-Monique Robin across four continents (North and South America, Europe, and Asia), The World According to Monsanto tells the little-known yet shocking story of this agribusiness giantthe world’s leading producer of GMOs (genetically modified organisms)and how its new green” face is no less malign than its PCB- and Agent Orangesoaked past.
Robin reports that, following its long history of manufacturing hazardous chemicals and lethal herbicides, Monsanto is now marketing itself as a life sciences” company, seemingly convinced about the virtues of sustainable development. However, Monsanto now controls the majority of the yield of the world’s genetically modified corn and soyingredients found in more than 95 percent of American householdsand its alarming legal and political tactics to maintain this monopoly are the subject of worldwide concern.
Released to great acclaim and controversy in France, throughout Europe, and in Latin America alongside the documentary film of the same name, The World According to Monsanto is sure to change the way we think about food safety and the corporate control of our food supply.

If you eat, you should read this. Monsanto controls and shapes everything that goes into your food supply, and not for the better. Take action. Knowledge is power. Read this and say no to GMO's. The best book on the subject. Rachel Carson would have been proud.
I'm not going to be looking at soybeans, corn or other GMO foods the same way. Hard to believe Monsanto has gotten away with being able to manipulate governments to allow this stuff to be put into our food chain. Not only is this food only been superficially tested for potential harm, the crop yields aren't what were promised and now the GMO pollen and seeds are contaminating non-GMO crops. Europe has the right idea, to label this stuff so we consumers can make educated choices.
This book is well researched and documented by the authoress, Robin. If you care about your life and your planet, you should read this book. Monsanto is on a crusade to cause the sixth extinction of life on earth. My words, not the authoress. The book takes you through the history of Monsanto and its continuing deceits and hiding of the truth about the danger of all its products culminating with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) which will destroy us. She has documented how Monsanto destroys careers of people who beg to differ with Monsanto's point of view. Monsanto ignores scientific facts to push their products. The financial bottom line means more to them than human food safety. This is pointed out time and time again in her book. My opinion, not the authoress, of Monsanto after reading this book is this company is one of the most evil companies on earth. I think when your read this well documented book, you will reach the same conclusion.
Should be required reading for every American.
