This was a cute story that I downloaded randomly because of its wonderful purchase price (free). The story would be a great introduction to chapter books for a young girl. The interaction between the gnomes and pixies is cute, and the budding romances help keep a little girl dreaming of love. I loved how much "history" was packed into the sixty three pages, including the discoveries of the girls' grandfather as the beginning to their adventures. It goes to show that believing in things you can't see can open your eyes to new worlds. Overall, the adventure keeps you interested, and the only down-side would be the abrupt ending to the story.

I think this book is really fun to read. If an adult would read it to little children I'm sure they would love it.

A cute twist to have the characters think our world is fiction. I love fantasy, I just wish there was a second story to follow this one.

I love this book!!!! It so....mystirious. i recomend this book for alllllllll ages (0-whatever the last number is.) It realy touches the heart .and you get in to it on the first two pages.and i have to say the author has a wild imagination, but nothing not for children.you feel alive IN the story once you read it. So, if you dont buy this book, you dont desirve to have: nook, bedroom, cloth, paper, laptop, or even a car. So buy this book OR ELSE.........you shall be poor for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.......... SO BUY IT A.S.A.P.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This was an outstanding children's book with the right amount of adventure and mystery. It was not too long for a child's attention span and was exciting enough to keep kids interested while reading.

The basic plot line was cute, but the story didn't go much of anywhere, and there was a lot of extraneous detail, particularly when trying to set a scene. Most of the exposition seemed to a happen in an "oh yeah, and they did x or y because of z" fashion. Also, the authors seemed to be a little unclear at times on the scale of the two different worlds (three, if we include the pixies as existing on a smaller scale than even the gnomes) they were trying to portray, which I found aggravating.

It is ok. I would recomend you try it, but it is a little confusing, and way to detailed, but recomended. It is a good read for ages 11+.
