Overview

Greed, revenge, world domination through the power of oil, high-tech
terrorism... Only some of the ingredients of this latest 007 adventure which
begins outside the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, continues with a
spectacular high-speed boat chase up the Thames and progresses through the highlands of Scotland before Bond faces an avalanche in the Caucasus
Mountains and a potential nuclear explosion in Turkey.

Sir Robert King, a wealthy oil tycoon, is murdered in an unprecedented
bombing at MI6's London headquarters. M takes the attack personally and
sends James Bond to protect King's beautiful and fiery daughter Elektra in
Turkey. For the man responsible for the bombing is 'Renard', a cruel and
cunning terrorist who once attempted to kidnap Elektra King and hold her to
ransom.

With nuclear weapons expert Dr. Chrismas Jones at his side, Bond travels to
the Caspian Sea and Istanbul where a former enemy becomes a formidable ally before the final dramatic confrontation in the claustrophobic confines of a nuclear submarine beneath the surface of the Bosporus.

The World is Not Enough takes James Bond to new levels of danger, intrigue and non-stop action.

    Loved It!

This was pretty much the same as the movie. The reason I enjoyed this book so much is because of the great detail, and the explaination of Bond's gadgets. I loved this book so much I read it in six hours.

    Just Like The Movie

This is a thrilling action book. James Bond was sent to retrieve money that belonged to Mr.King. Someone blows up the money along with Mr.King. Because of that, James Bond was sent to protect his daughter Electra from anyone trying to kill her. This book also goes through the rest of the movie. If you like books whith excitment, action, love, and fighting, you'll love this book! You'll also enjoy the gadgets Q , Bonds inventor, makes for Bond. For examble, the enhanced glasses which helped him identify hidden guns, bombs, and more. This book will make you wish you were 'Bond, James Bond'.

The best James Bond novel ever!

Robert Benson, Neil Purvis and Robert Wade have written the most intense and action filled James Bond novel ever. They manage to tell it in such a sophisticated way that you forget about everything else while reading it. For all of you who like action/thriller books 'The world is not enough' will be an incredibly journey through James Bond's latest mission. The world of James Bond never ceases to amaze anyone and believe me, the world of James Bond is enough.

As good as the other James Bond movies

James Bond is sent to Spain to retrieve money. When he brings the money back to the person it belongs to, Mr. King. Someone sends a signal, which blows up the money along with killing Mr. King. Bond is sent to protect his daughter Electra from anyone trying to kill her. He also has to deal with a mad man, Renard that steals a nuclear bomb. I think that it is a good action book. If you like James Bond movies you really should read this book. It has all the great action that all of James Bond movies have. There are the usual cool inventions by Q, Bonds inventor. There are chases in the mountains by the bad guys on snowmobiles. He has to elude 4 of them while protecting Electra. Then there is a bomb that is put in the pipeline that Electras company is building, which she took over from her father when he died. Bond has to disarm the bomb while it was traveling thorough the pipeline. While all this is happening he has to deal with being chased by guys that Renard has sent to try to stop them. Over all it's a great book that's I enjoyed reading

    AWFULLLLLLL!!!!!

Most of Raymond Benson's latest novel, The World is Not Enough is increasingly boring. Action parts in the book are written so dully, as he explains the attack on Mi6 Headquarters as 'it all happened in thirty seconds.' This book is not worth it. See the movie instead, it is much better.
