This book is one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen. It immerses you in the artwork that inspired the film and the colors the designs and the characters are all just amazing. This is an exceptional piece and I highly recommend it to any Henson Fan, Froud Fan, or Dark Crystal Fan. It's breathtaking. (I just got it in the mail today and I'm in love!)
The Dark Crystal is one of my favorite movies of all time. I was looking for this book forever, but it wasn't cheap. I didn't realize they were reproducing it. It is the most unique art book I have ever read. Especially because it is told from the point of view from that world's first and oldest inhabitant (and my favorite character), 'Augrah'. This book rocks and it is a shame i can only give it 5 stars.
This book is excelent. The illustrations are breath taking. I would highly recommend this book to lovers of fantasy. I haven't seen the movie The Dark Crystal but the book gives some background on it like, for example, it explains the different spieces of creatures and what their world is like. The book also has a short biography on Brian Froud written by him. He's a very interesting person and reading about what he went through to get where he is today makes me appriciate his work even more. So, if you are really into fantasy stuff or just like to look at great artwork, then I really think you should check this book out.
