Overview

Sony Music Special Products' World's Most Beautiful Christmas Music: Silent Night contains ten holiday favorites, all performed in a fairly traditional style. That means the album holds together better than its cousin, Heaven and Nature Sing!, even though it isn't quite as varied or interesting. Nevertheless, this is an enjoyable collection of standards performed by the likes of the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Leonard Bernstein, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Andre Kostelanetz, the Philadelphia Brass Ensemble, the London Symphony Orchestra and Peter Nero, all of which makes it worth its budget price.
