ABOUT AESOP'S FABLES

Aesop's Fables or the Aesopica are a collection of fables credited to Aesop, a slave and story-teller supposed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 560 BCE. The fables remain a popular choice for moral education of children today. Many of the stories, such as The Fox and the Grapes (from which the idiom "sour grapes" derives), The Tortoise and the Hare, The North Wind and the Sun, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Ant and the Grasshopper are well-known throughout the world.

Meet the Author

Aesop or Esop (c. 620-564 BCE) was a Greek writer credited with a number of popular fables, although his existence remains uncertain and no writings by him survive. Numerous tales appearing under his name were gathered across the centuries and in many languages in a storytelling tradition that continues to this day. In many of the tales, animals speak and have human characteristics.

Superb complete rendition for all ages of the beloved Aesop's Fables with interactive index. Font size is fully adjustable despite the all caps title. My only, and most minor, quibble is the designated eTitle WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER COMPLETE AND UNABRIDGED EDITION. If you add this to your Nook library, and I recommend that you do, remember to look up the title accordingly. In this instance.
