Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
Christian pop superstar Michael W. Smith leads a vigorous and uplifting worship session on this follow-up to his platinum 2001 release, Worship. On Worship Again all but two tracks were recorded live in Louisville, Kentucky, before a crowd of 11,000. The audience is very much a part of this recording, as they sing along with Smith and add their energy to the worship experience. Encompassing 14 tracks, Worship Again covers a lot of territory, thankfully none of it well worn. Smith maintains a freshness and integrity to his brand of worship, even when leading the crowd through a familiar song such as Rich Mullins's "Step By Step." With Smith at the piano and a 14-piece band...

Smith maintains a freshness and integrity to his brand of worship, even when leading the crowd through a familiar song such as Rich Mullins's "Step By Step." With Smith at the piano and a 14-piece band and choir backing him, the music is rich and evocative, weaving a tapestry of emotions from reverence to love and joy. There is a theatricality to worship music, and one such highlight is "I See You," in which the audience engages in call-and-response with Smith. The two studio songs offered here are a duet with Amy Grant, "Lord Have Mercy" a more powerful live version, sans Grant, is also offered, and "Here I Am to Worship." Closing this collection is Smith's patriotic composition, "There She Stands," a tear-jerker that captures the sentiment behind the past year's flag-waving. Worship Again is another monumental achievement from an enduring talent.
All Music Guide - Steven Douglas Losey
Certain artists were born to perform praise & worship; Michael W. Smith is one of those. Offering his second consecutive worship disc in a row, Smith has assembled a collection of songs that take the listener on a spiritual journey. Veering away from some of the more traditional praise & worship songs, Smith shines on cuts like "Lord Have Mercy" and "I Can Hear Your Voice" while the more well-known numbers like "Step by Step" and "You Are Holy" are emotionally delivered as well. While Worship Again doesn't necessarily break any new ground, it is tenderly delivered and utilizes the talents of Smith well.

    Incredible!

This CD is just amazing. There's no other way to describe it. Through songs like "There She Stands", Smith shows how united and brave Americans are. I hope to see other Smith CDs soon
