Overview

When a virgin frustrated by her nonexistent dating life asks a playboy for a one-night stand, can they really ignore their attraction after the affair?

After Tasha Smith is dumped yet again because of her virginity, she decides it's time to stop saving herself for marriage and start dating like women in the twenty-first century. She sets out to find a man rumored to be good enough in bed to relieve her of the nuisance, but discreet enough to keep her request a secret.

Jared Patterson seems like the perfect candidate. Yet after one searing kiss, she wonders if she'll escape a night with him unscathed. Jared's job as a successful fitness instructor and entrepreneur has helped him keep a string of meaningless relationships from the east to the west coast. After learning the hard way that women can't be trusted, he has no qualms going from one sex-only relationship to the next. Although Tasha is one of the few types of women he avoids - a good girl - the man in him can't turn down her tempting offer.

What starts out as a onetime thing quickly turns into an affair neither want to stop. But when an unexpected situation drastically alters their relationship, it leaves them both asking if it was Worth the Wait.

In Worth the Wait, Tasha is a woman who knows what she wants and she is not afraid to go after it. Jared is the successful playboy that is not ready for a woman like Tasha. Tasha, as thirty-something virgin, decides that she has been a virgin too long and what better way to lose her virginity than to a fine, experienced playboy. As the plot of the book developed, I could not help but think this cannot end well for Tasha. I found myself wondering if Jared was going to break Tasha’s heart, would Tasha realize she had gotten herself into a situation she was not ready for, or would they actually fall in love. Just when you think you have Tasha and/or Jared figured out, things take a turn. The author does a wonderful of job of developing characters and story lines with great depth that keep you turning the page. Great second book from Synithia Williams! Great job of continuing and expanding on characters and story lines from the first book, You Can’t Plan Love. Worth the Wait is worth the read!

Tasha is a young, beautiful, confident, faithful church girl. She is also a virgin saving herself for marriage. Dating is not her forte and she frequently dates LOSERS that only want sex. Tasha decides to make a life changing decision that includes a fine, sexy bachelor, Jared Paterson. He is a single business owner and health trainer that takes Tasha on a journey that will change her life forever. Together, Tasha and Jared discover more about themselves than anticipated. Synithia Williams’ “Worth the Wait” was a romantic and fairy-tale like story. There were some grammatical and spelling errors throughout the story. It wasn’t a bad read, but I wanted/expected more. I adored this book. It made it to my keeper shelf for sure. Worth the Wait had everything going for it: good pacing, believable conflict, amazing hook, and excellent characterization. It was the characterization of the book’s heroine, Tasha, that put this book firmly on the keeper shelf. I looked up to her—found myself wishing I could be like her. She tackled serious real-life problems with a grace and strength I only dream about possessing. In the end, Worth the Wait was both entertaining and motivational—and what more can you ask for in a good read than that?
