Must Read - for abused men and the people in their lives

This book was recommended to me by the man in my life who was abused by someone close to him. Not only did it help me understand him it helped me deal with my own abuse by my ex-husband.

This book changed the way I deal with conflict in my relationship and brought my partner and I closer. One of the things I've been working on is his self-esteem and the way he sees himself. I wrote him a letter telling him what I see when I look at him that he refers to when he starts to get down on himself.

I wish I had read this sooner in the relationship but am grateful that I've read it and can assist my partner in his struggle to overcome his abuse.

    A Long Wait

Where was this book when both my son and I needed it? My son watched his father emotionally and physically abuse me. He was angry for years. When I left the abuse, there was free counseling for me. But for boys, unless the dad used drugs or alcohol, zip. And, since the man who abused me refused child support and would not work, there was no $75 per hour available for my son. Kids who witness abuse are abused and traumatized. They need help too. Espcecially boys. I am glad both my son and I have found this great helping tool.
