Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
Inspirational artist Steve Green emotes mightily through Woven in Time, his latest in a career that spans 17 years. Green is best known in CCM circles for railing against most of today's popular Christian music, which he views as scripturally inaccurate. Green is, of course, entitled to his opinion, but that should tell you something about the kind of music that Green prefers -- churchy, preachy, and, needless to say, biblically correct. Woven in Time is all of those things, plus there's plenty of high drama from Green's performing style. This collection contains a nice rendition of "God of Wonders" plus a sweet, bluegrassy "O Pilgrims Come," but the pop stuff is too ...

Woven in Time is all of those things, plus there's plenty of high drama from Green's performing style. This collection contains a nice rendition of "God of Wonders" plus a sweet, bluegrassy "O Pilgrims Come," but the pop stuff is too glossy to resonate much, and Green's dramatic delivery doesn't exactly help.
All Music Guide - Jonathan Widran
The up and coming Christian singer has obviously been inspired by legends of his genre like Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith, and he's not shy about mixing styles in the spirit of these masters. Green wraps a more aggressive element of his voice around the guitar-driven rock of "If We Answer," then dances around a huge jig production as Smith has done on the dramatic, Celtic-influenced "Sacrifice of Praise." Then there's the romantic side of Green, where his voice becomes all at once more tender and emotional in the manner of show tune vocal giants like Michael Crawford. "Pleasures of the King" and "Thread of Scarlet" are heavily string-enhanced productions surrounding Green's more powerful statements. He mixes all of these approaches with his own take on the popular worship song "God of Wonders," and even does an operatic piece. The beauty of simpler arrangements like "Holding Hands" indicates that Green hardly needs all the adornment to worship in truth, spirit, and honesty. He might break through to a wider audience by honing his approach, but if you like diversity, he's certainly one of the most inventive singers in CCM circles.

    Steve Green Does It Again

After listening to the excerpts of this new album,I can only say I was truly blessed. His style of music is truly a worship experience. I have several of his albums and have been blessed by each one.I plan on purchasing this one in the near future.

Steve Green, The Best of the Best

Steve Green and his writers continue to provide a richness in lyrics that is so sorely lacking in much of comtemporary Christian music. In the music scores we get a little of the mournful sounds so prevelant today and less of the fullness of Steve's terrific voice that is also a hallmark that sets him apart and above the rest, but I ''love'' the album and my appreciation grows with each new time through.

More wonderful music from Steve Green!

Steve Green's music is beautiful, uplifting, inspirational *and* biblically correct! What more can one wish for from a Christian musician? His voice, as ever, is smooth and gentle, yet powerful, the songs differ in style, offering an interesting variety, all of them are worth listening to! The more I listen the more I like them! Thank you Steve!
