Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susan Thomas
Good prevails over evil again in this superhero adventure. The Weather Wizard is released from prison as the story opens. He is even contemplating using his power to control the weather for the good of the world. But as a tornado unleashes its strength on Central City he knows that he will be blamed. The Flash (Barry Allen, police detective) is The Fastest Man Alive and is able to tame the tornado. However he is not able to tame The Weather Wizard. When he tries to help him, the wizard instead unleashes all of his bad weather powers, until The Flash finally restrains him and puts him back in the penitentiary. These Super DC Heroes books are intended for boys, and would appeal through the comic art illustration style and the story line. Although the story is not as easy to follow in this narrative style as it would be in a graphic novel, it still would be good as a low level, high interest text. Reviewer: Susan Thomas
