Overview

Life can be cruel. People can be ruthless and evil. The world can be cold and uninviting. No one knows these things better than Josephine Geroux. By her own definition, she is a twenty-five-year-old "nobody with nothing," and she is content to stay that way. Growing up an orphan has made her tough and indifferent to the people around her, until she meets a strangely familiar man with a face that haunts her for reasons she can't understand. Despite the pain that will inevitably ensue, she makes it her mission to discover what parts of her tragic puzzle she is missing. On her journey to discovering why she feels an alarming connection to an absolute stranger, her greatest fear is reawakening the demons and darkness from the past that will surely overtake her if she lets her guard down. Little does Josephine know that the past should be the least of her worries. She is toying with a man who has already broken her heart once. She just doesn't realize it. Although she makes it a point to avoid interactions with others, Josephine's life becomes entangled with the enigmatic stranger. Before she realizes it, she has given herself over to the one person who is close enough to wreck her.

Why can't anyone finish a book anymore? I've read so many book ones lately. And they are short too. It's unsatisfying. And most of the Book twos, if I remember about them enough to ever buy them, are lame like it was all one book to begin with but the author split it up (a la Stephanie Meyer) to make more money. Just put both books together to begin with!!!

Great book... Bad ending. Great read but do yourself a favor and wait till the next book comes out and then read them together. Just absurd way to end a book. I hate when authors pull this.

Loved it!!!! I can't wait for book two. Wish I wouldn't have found this until the second book was out. This was a sucky cliff hanger!! Worst part is that I will probably forget all about this book before the second comes out and will never know the ending.

The ending of this book is absurd. The least they could hsve done is give a date saying when the next book comes out. Overall it was an outstanding book though

Wreck Me by J.L.Mac I read a lots of books in many genre. So even though as a guy this is not the typical book you would expect me to read, I did. This particular book I listened to as an audiobook and before I go on to the book itself I want to praise the woman that read it, Veronica Meunch. She was awesome and if I had any audiobooks I would want her to read them. She made the book come alive with her reading. So Kudos to Veronica. Okay, moving on. The following is done WITHOUT SPOILERS. Wreck Me starts out by wrecking the reader. I found myself instantly connecting with the character of Joe (Josephine) [reviewer note: pardon any misspellings of names I listened to it so I don’t know how they are spelled.] The compelling story of someone that experiences a profound event so young in life coupled with the mysterious man that enters her life as an adult was intriguing. Damon is mysterious and driven. His instant attraction to Joe is somewhere just this side of uber creepy stalker and a part of me waited for an ugly turn that never came. He is the post that intense is tied to apparently. ;) Nevertheless his fascination with her is genuine and their twisted dance of angst, pain and heartbreak keeps the story compelling. The story is simple enough. Girl meets boy, boy likes girl. Shenanigans ensue. Though the plot is simple it is not simplistic by any stretch of the imagination. I found the tale to be well paced and balanced for the read. The characters that Mac chooses are each well defined and multifaceted so as to engage the readers imagination. As a reader the two highest forms of praise that I can give is to recommend a book to a friend and read a sequel if one exists. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes strong female characters, romance, or just a good read. And I will be listening to the sequel.

Really good. Typical FSOG type storyline, but I loved FSOG, so it worked for me. These types of books are my guilty pleasure. Love the hot, loving, dominant man. Major cliffhanger, can't wait to read the next book.

Honestly I thought the book was good, although I could not get into the story... It has a good cliffhanger and the only reason why I bought the second one. Maybe it was just not what I liked but it doesn't mean any of you cannot give it a try.

Loved this book it was a great read and I can't freaking wait until the next one! I mean there has to be another one you cannot just end a story like that without writing a second book!

The book is nothing like 50 Shades of Grey. When people read about A Dominent character in a power exchange D/s encounter or relationships in fictional story lines, the sexual act may sound the same when you read other books but people have to do some critical thinking while they are reading. The central issue with Christian Grey and Damien Cole is their need to control. Both characters suffered abuse, hurt, and loss, causing insecurity issues. There is not much variety on the act of blind folding a submissive lover but what people need to think is how does this act make the Dominent lover feel more secure and in control.
