The author presents the best written and factual accounting of the ship and her lost crew. He forms no opinions and gives out the most up to date information available, up to and including the most recent studies of the ship, cause(s) of the sinking and the present status. We will probably never know the real reason(s), but from this book we can certainly narrow down the potential causes.

The Wreck of the Emund Fitzgerald is a great book for anyone who loves ships and shipwrecks. I am a big shipwreck fan and I love learning about different kinds of shipwrecks. Wonderful book to own.

You are given a lot of facts concerning the wreck. Everything from the time it left port to the time it disappeared. You are given all the reports! The report from the Coast Guard, the insurance company, and owners. You are then left to make up your own mind on what really lead up to the sinking of this now famous ship.
