Write It Right (Barnes & Noble Digital Library) [NOOK Book]

This is a keeper.

I have had this book since the 1970's. I still have it and will keep reading it. It reminds me of some the things I get careless about.

I think he has another good book which is excellent for school children. The name is "Read it Right". This book is great too.

Storyline~ This is the story of Heartstorm, father of heatherwhisper, and mate to willownose, became who he his. As a newly named apprentice, HeartPaw is taunted by many other clan apprentices for his name, saying it is to much of a shecat name for a tom. DarkShadow, heartpaws mentor taught him many...and even helped him train in darkforest....heartpaw seems completley wreckless to many until he meets willowpaw, an apprentice is sandclan. ( ik ik. Heatherwhisper and duneflame...same thing...just deal with it) in an effort to win willowpaws heart over, heartpaw plans to swim the gull...the most strongest current in the whole river..can he get her.............

"Heartkit, from here until the day you shall become a warrior arrives, you will be known as heartpaw, shall you learn hard" the purrs of acception the rose from his clanmates warmed heartpaw from within, even in the midst of leafbare. His mother purred loudest of all. And his father, tigertail, too. "Darkshadow shall mentor heartpaw, his apprentice boonfur has become a wonderful addition to this clan, and heartpaw shall to." A smirk layed on darkshadows muzzle, and he padded to his apprentice "we will start tonight." He whispered, touching his nose to heartpaws. A glint of enthusiasm sparked in heartpaws eyes and he nodded eagerly "ok!" Then he turned to pad to the other three apprentices, auroapaw, riverpaw and sparrowpaw. He was stopped short when boonfur signled him over, fear in the young cats eyes. "Darkshadow is not that well of a mentor heartpaw." Boonfur fought to keep his voice steady, but burning fear kept that hard for him, "he takes you to darkforest to train with deathstar, and they say there good until they unleash the plan on taking back the forest. Two apprentices train there and as warriors to. I would of..but i remain loyal to starclan and left it...darkshadow is replacing me with you." Heartpaws ears twitch in surprise of what he was hearing, "who else trains there" he asked quickly. In hesitation, boonfur leaned forward " in sandclan blackhawk and falconpaw. In graveclan theres coldsnare and lostshadow. From meadowclan is lionclaw and lilypaw. And from our clan....is darkshadow and..and...tigertail...." anger rushed through heartpaws chest "my fathers not like that!" He retorted cooly. Boonfur shook his head "no! Hes a spy! Theres a spy from each clan! Tuftnose is a spy for sandclan. Horsetail is a spy for meadowclan. And firelight is the spy for graveclan!" He protested "so calm down!" Heartpaw refused to and he padded away. ••••••••••••••=^~^=••••••••••••••••••••••
••••••••••• Heartpaw started into the river, his eyes cold "i will deathstar." He vowed "i will kill my leader," a snicker of approvle came from deathstar came and he left. Leaving heartpaw at the river. "Willowpaw! Your suppose to pounce on the rabbit! Not wait till it comes to you!" A growl of annoyance alarmed heartpaw, and the apprentice lept to his paws -sandclan cats!- he thought quickly -and they sound close by!- surley, the sandclan cats. A small pretty white shecat, and a large black tom, blackhawk, crashed through the undergrowth that marked the border. The white shecat, who was known as willowpaw had chased a rabbit into lakeclans territory, and she wrecklessly stummbled into the river. Heartpaw rolled his eyes and launched himself. Catching her scruff he set her down....and thats when he fell in love with her..."im..heartpaw..hi"

"Blacky! Are you up yet?" She called. "I am now." She heard a grumpy voice meow. "Come on Blacky. Dont you want to play?" "I guess." Blacky mewed grumpily. "Come on sleepy-head!" Finally Blacky got up and walked outside still yawning.
