If you buy only one book on writing, make it this one

Years ago, as a beginning writer, I picked up Elaine's book 'How to be a Successful Housewife/Writer'. It was a one stop information source on query letters, interviewing, photos, and what to do with the family. This book incorporates much of that advice with updated information. No writer, even those of us who are accomplished, should be without it. 20 years later, I still use the other book to get ideas and refresh my memory. You'll be doing the same with this one. Elaine has 'been there, done that, and bought the tshirt.' She also has great advice from other writers in the back of the book, to make you feel less alone. This book is a bargain at any price.
