    I Also Recommend:

Writer is an essential Carole King album, and this is the version to get!

Writer, in my opinion, is Carole King's second best album, "Tapestry" being first. I am not going to go into detail on how great the songs are, cause any Carole King fan like me will already know. There are no fillers, each song is perfect in detail, meaning and harmony. This new Digi-Pak remastering is the way to go if you are planing on purchasing the album. Every song is louder, more precise, and all tape hiss from the 1991 CD pressing is gone. The packaging is great, we get the original album cover and the back looks close to the original pressing with Carole's face and the black backgound, but with pics from what looks like the recording of the album in the top left corner. When you open the digi-pak, the inside flap shows the same picture as the back, and the CD disc has artwork on it with the full-track listing, and when you take the disc out of the case, you see artwork from the original album showing Side One-tracks 1-6 as labeled on side one of original album. I am very pleased with my purchase, and if you have the 1991 CD, it is very much so worth the money to update to this edition. 5+++
