PreS-Gr 3—In these character-education stories, Marshall and Art use their "black belt brains" to show their friends the right thing to do. The first title teaches how to react when a stranger in a car offers a ride. In Writing a Wrong, the brothers redirect a boy from spray-painting graffiti to using canvas. Newly aware, he asks where to write to offer to clean up the messes he's made. Each story concludes with tips for children and adults. In both books, the computer art pops from the pages and captures readers' attention. However, at times the dark pictures in saturated colors overtake the narratives. Additional at best.—Melissa Smith, Green Valley Library, Henderson, NV
