    Adequate as a homeschool supplement

    While this book provides plenty of activities, it lacks clear and engaging explanations as a prelude to the assignments. As an example, one of the assignments is to write a letter. There is not an example included as to what the letter should look like in correct form. On the cover, the talking points include "How-to writing" but the letter is a clear example of where "how-to" is lacking. Overall, it is a great supplement for a language arts program but is not a good stand-alone product.

    Excellent!

    For all the papers, reports and eventually thesis' your child will write, this is the book you want to have for them now. It is teaching my daughter the basics of writing a complete sentence, a paragraph and eventually a short story. These are skills she's learning in school and this book is reinforcing those lessons perfectly. I would definitely recommend this book.
