A fantastic compendium, and a brilliant introduction to Jonathan Swift. I'm not usually a fan of anthologies collections compendiums and the like, but for some reason i cherish my Norton Swift. Its big and beautiful. Its got the whole of Gulliver's Travels, the whole of Tale of a Tub, as well as the brilliantly funny Modest Proposal and, as mentioned above, what feels like hundreds of other writings and poetry. The thing about Swift is, his major work, Gulliver, sort of eclipses everything else he did, in popular memory. So there aren't many separate books of Swift's to purchase for your private collection - but this book shows you the plethora of other works, great works, valuable works, that he wrote, can be a collective resource which you can go to to sample his poetry, satirical writings (near everything he wrote was satirical, but i mean his short prose pieces).
