The best book of the best manga ever!

X/1999 is the best series I've come across, both the anime and manga. This book is the crowning achievement- I haven't read the next two yet, but I can't begin to imagine how they'll top this one. The story that started long ago with Tokyo Babylon comes to its conclusion when Subaru Sumeragi faces off with Sesheirou Sakurazaka. The way the two speak to and act with each other, the secrets you learn that have been hinted at since the end of TB, and every other part of this book make it the most incredable manga you'll ever get a hold of. I don't know what else to say to convince you- just go out and get this series, and especially this book.

    Definitely CLAMP's best!

I have to say, this is the best manga book I've ever read and it's absolutely amazing!!! The artwork is stunning and all of the compositions work really well to ensure that the reader feels the full effect, which I'm sure a lot of people did. The action sequences are fantastic and they last for at least half of the book, but it's the emotional roller coaster the reader experiences while reading it that makes the book the masterpiece it is. Kamui's confusion, Subaru's angst, and Seishirou's blindness as to what Subaru's wish might have been until it was too late...these all make the book awesome! The Seishirou side story is also great and reveals exactly how cold-hearted he used to be, but it's the fact that he changed which shows why he's loved so much. Overall, this was an eXtremely great book and I highly recommend it! only...the flipped Japanese gets on my nerves...but that's a minor detail...

    The angst coutinues!!!

Really, this is one of the most exciting mangas I have EVER read. The art (as expected from CLAMP) is stunning, the story is entertaining, and there is a certain feel to it that makes you want to keep reading more. While Kamui and the others were mislead on the breaking of the next Spirit Shield, Subaru had his hands full on not only preventing the fall of the REAL Spirit Shield, but in a final clash with the Sakurazukamori. We find out more about their 'relationship', and if that's not enough, an unepected twist occured!!! ^.^ Also, fans will enjoy the bonus character story in the back-featuring the cool illusionist Seishiro Sakurazuka himself!!! To sum it up, this book is DEFINITELY worth the time to read-and money to buy!!!
