X-Men:The Dark Phoenix Saga is great story! This Classic X-Men storyline tells the first apperance of Dark Phoenix! Jean Grey?Pheonix had turned evil because she was under the control of Sebastion Shaw of the Hellfire Club! Emma Frost. The White Queen, also makes her first apperance her in these X-Men issues. The X-Men especially, Scott Summers, tries to save her from her unstabel condition. Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Beast, Professor X, and Nightcrawler do battle save their beloved friend, Jean Grey. written by Chris Claremont with Artwork by John Byrne, this is the most acclaimed Uncanny X-Men storyline the comic book series ever had.

The Dark Phoenix Saga is one of the most beloved comics storylines ever created. It is a story about how Jean Grey, after embodying the Phoenix Force, became intoxicated with the power granted by it, and after the machinations of the Hellfire Club, became the Dark Phoenix. Following this she goes on a rampage that destroys a planet and must then contend with the reprecussions afterwards. Ultimately it is a story of redemption, love, and the human heart. This deep plotline was ruined, however, by Phoenix Rising, which had events in it that made the emotions tied into the Dark Phoenix Saga pointless. Read this not Phoenix Rising.
