    A Harry Gregson-Williams Masterpiece

Gregson-Williams truly delivers in this soundtrack. Each track is phenomenal from start to finish, well timed and well thought out. If you are a soundtrack fan, this album is well worth the buy.

A MUST for any CD Collection

Harry Gregson-Williams proves in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" that he WAS the composer of choice for this CD. This soundtrack surpasses any previous work he has ever done with the exception of "Prince Caspian," and in that regard these two works stand on equal footing. All in all, this CD is very similar in pace and structure to "Caspian," though Gregson-Williams does not plagarize off himself. The two merely have a similar cadence, and feel, even if the tracks themselves are different- and they are.
This CD is very much a music picture of the movie it supports: high adreneline, energizing, fast paced and adventurous. Their are a couple slower, more emotional tracks and some snippets of more ballad aimed style in the higher "octane" tracks, but it does for the most part keep the "action based" music going. The main theme is very distinctive and does feature itself all through the CD, but without taking over. And the CD itself has a great continuation- one track leads nicely into another and it starts and stops on a "high note," so you get high flying music both entering and leaving. And it is great stuff.
I would recommend this CD for all Gregson-Williams fans, but also if you love John Williams, Brian Tyler, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, John Powell and the other greats, this CD is for you. Buy it. Play it. Love it. :)
