Editorial Reviews

Crystal Bowman
Young readers will be captivated as they journey along with Xander Nash on his wild adventure back to the beginning of time. Mixed with humor, excitement, and mystery, Xander Nash: The Beginning of it All will have kids turning pages and begging for the next book. A very creative and positive way to connect kids with God’s Word!
-Crystal Bowman, best-selling author including The Read and Rhyme Bible Storybook
Daisy Maryles
Creation By Design’s artwork is breathtakingly beautiful, and the stories and other trivia knowledge they provide is absolutely clever, interesting and very informative. They intend to produce from story books, chapter books, activity books through giftware and apparel. I was struck by its tremendous appeal to young people and adults. In my 44 years at Publishers Weekly, I have never seen any other product so contemporary or visually appealing.
-Daisy Marlyes, Publishers Weekly
Lori Scott
As an elementary teacher, I think Xander Nash: The Beginning of it All is a fun choice for Christian kids looking for an early chapter book series. Nine-year-old Xander's easy-going humor & love of exploring make him a likable character. In addition, the book provides parents with a springboard to introduce and discuss Bible stories with their children.
-Lori Z. Scott, author of Meghan Rose Series
Roberta Simpson
What a wonderful way to teach the lessons of the Bible! I also love the fact that the author has started at the beginning. I do recommend this book, and I for one, have many grandchildren who I know will just love it.
-Roberta Simpson, author of Nana’s Bible Stories
Sergio Cariello
I loved reading the adventures of Xander and his dog Mitts. It is a fun way to learn how God created everything! I loved the interaction between Xander, Adam and all God's creatures. Easy to read and very enticing story. Any kid will enjoy the book and be hungry for more!

Meet the Author

Dr. Hunter Talen, is a fictional character that was born in either 1947 or 1625. He was raised by his globetrotting archaeologist father, G. Therer Talen, and his mother Katherine “Kat” Klause-Talen, who had been a singer in silent films. He was exposed to many of the great archaeological sites across 5 continents before the age of ten. He attended Der Spelunken Academy in Gestalt and studied under the world renowned explorer Dr. Heverford “Ever” Last, graduating with his PhD at 17. By 20 he had already done extensive work translating the runes of the Upper Tribes of Invisiline and published his findings on the secret rituals of the Gurl Skowtz in three best selling volumes, all to international acclaim.

Talen inspired countless field archaeologists with his works, and has been awarded a Pica Star by the Adventuring Fellowship out of Genova. He has earned three “Bom Diggity” awards and is a member of the exclusive Secret Adventurers Club and of the surprisingly less exclusive Top Secret Adventurers Club. He currently calls the outer rim of the Mauna Lisa volcano home and base of operations in between expeditions.

Neil Kleid, the Xeric-Award winning cartoonist, authored Ninety Candles, Brownsville, and The Big Kahn. Neil has written for Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image Comics, Shadowline, NBM Publishing, Archaia Studios, Slave Labor Graphics, Random House and Puffin Graphics. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and kids, working on three graphic novels, several comic books, a novel and no sleep. Pray for him at www.rantcomics.com
