Xannu – The Healing continues the story of Terry West, a twelve-year-old English boy, who travels to an alternate world using rune coins he discovered while digging for old bottles. In his other parallel life he is an eighteen-year-old soldier, Teern Truthbringer, who was tasked with finding the Xannu. Unfortunately, Terry’s best friend Joe is now trapped in these strange lands and his parents back in England believe he is dead. The book is really two stories in one, as Terry switches between his two existences searching for solutions that always seem just beyond reach. Xannu – The Healing is the second in a five-book series entitled ‘The Southern Lands’, which chronicles numerous trials and adventures on a journey that is limited only by our imaginations.

Meet the Author

Writing under the pen name of Paul Dorset (real name John Cox), Xannu is my first series of full-length novels. I have been writing for many years and some of my early works were published in ‘teen advice columns’. I have also had many articles published, mostly in the technical field of Computing.

I currently live in the north-west pacific city of Seattle but have traveled the globe extensively and worked many times with teens and youth groups. It is this background combined with a vivid imagination that has enabled me to weave a tapestry of magic into a complete novel. The Southern Lands series of books is aimed at youngsters of ten years and up, but the storyline is more than exciting enough to keep adults turning pages as the story unfolds.

    Loved it!! You must read it!!

    I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. The adventures that Terry is having in both his world and as Teern in the Southern Lands are really getting exciting. Terry has a new girlfriend, his interesting grandpa staying for awhile, and now a new neighbor. Teern has proclaimed the Xannu, and now taken the Xannu into the Unforgiving to be healed. Now Teern has even more questions about what his future holds for him. This book really leaves you wanting more, and I cannot wait to read the next one.
