Great book...Mr. Davis has done it again! XTERRA Escape is an extremely well written science fiction story that picked up where XTERRA Conspiracy left off. Wow, I did not know how this book could be better than the first book, but it was. Great characters - both good and evil; exciting space battles; a budding romance; wonderful descriptive settings; and extremely clever surprises throughout the entire book kept me truly entertained over the course of the entire novel.

I liked this book more than the first one. I felt like Ivis developed the characters further and made them more approachable. The space battles were AWESOME!

The physics was believable behind the zero and low-G combat. There was barely a minute of this book that I wasn't holding my breath hoping that the characters would pull it off.

The description of the destruction of the Earth is very thought out and detailed.

WOW this book is amazing, it was even better than the first book (which was also amazing). I loved just about everything about it. It is easily five stars, in fact I was only about a third of the way through the book and already knew that it was going to get five stars. It’s a shame its publishing date fell just outside of the deadline date for the 2012 Goodreads Choice Award or I would have been nominating it for that.

At 95 years old, I am a slow reader, Bo, but your book was so exciting that I simply could not put it down and I finished reading it in three days. I think there is a lot of truth in this book about current events and our future. Thank you for letting me read it, I can't wait for the next one!

One of the things I really appreciated about the first book was the firm basis in scientific theory and application, and Mr. Davis continues with this in Escape. A knowledge of various scientific disciplines is in evidence, from geology and metallurgy, to astronomy and physics, making it a very fun read for people who actually like the "science" in science fiction. As with the first book, this is a fun, fast read. I sat down with the book and before I knew it, I was done in 1 sitting. I'm excite

Meet the Author

IVIS BO DAVIS grew up on a potato farm outside the tiny town of Filer in southern Idaho, which may well have fueled his thirst for adventure since little excitement seem to happen there. A veteran of the Viet Nam conflict he discovered more adventure than he really wanted during the war and the social unrest that followed. Now he writes science fiction to explore the universe without actually giving unfriendly strangers the opportunity to shoot at him. Bo lives in Garland, Texas, USA with his wonderful wife Elaine and a blue-eyed beauty in the form of a snow white cat named Lenny.

Xterra Conspiracy: Book 1 by Ivis Bo Davis begins with Todd as a child suffering a nightmare in which a ship filled with colonists is hit by an asteroid, killing everyone on board. The Earth’s magnetic field is weakening and the survival of the human race is questionable. The governments of the Earth cooperate in the search for an answer and they may have found it in the stars and in an Ark. The Ark is a huge space ship created to carry colonists deep into space so that mankind will survive.

Whenever a government is involved, you usually find some form of power struggle and corruption, and as the title suggests, Xterra Conspiracies has a variety of conspiracies. Author Ivis Bo Davis is a talented author who has successfully created potential scenarios that made me stop and wonder if they could really happen. Whether they will or not, only time will tell. Xterra Conspiracy: Book 1 by Ivis Bo Davis is entertaining for readers young and old, and is definitely recommended to fans of science fiction.

    Interesting read...

I liked this book more than the first one. I felt like Ivis developed the characters further and made them more approachable. The space battles were AWESOME!

The God element was threaded better throughout this book. A much improvement on the first one.

It's a quick read. I would've liked it to be longer.

I recommend this book to the same people as the first book.
