The story is lovely. I love CLAMP works and I think xxholic is for sure one of their bests The overall storyline is: There is a shop, its magical, it grants wishes if the wisher can pay the price, the price not being monetary values. It goes through several different situations and brings about questions like, what is fate? what is right, what is wrong? HOWEVER! I rank so low because I bought this from used book on condition "good" and it came covered in stickers at least five. after peeling them off the cover was so badly damaged ( i consider the stickers themselves to have been in a state of damaged not good condition) that i now have masking tape on the books cover to keep it together.

I love it! It's has comedy, psychological, and supernatural. It made me feel like I was a part of the manga and I really love it! This is recommended for everybody who loves comedy, psychological, and supernatural!

Despite losing a little story power after finishing the large xxxHolic/Tsubasa crossover arch, watching Watanuki work as the new shopkeeper and build a new life for himself makes the new xxxHolic a worthwhile title. The art is still fabulous, and the mini-adventures are well written vignettes connecting mythology with present day settings.
