An M.B.A. graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Cathy Larson is a full-time, high school English teacher in her community and co-owner of Write Away Academy – a unique neighborhood business designed exclusively to help kids find their voice in the written word. She has also written and published The Dream Train: A Family Bedtime Tradition – a children’s book about the importance of family and dreams. A mother of two young children, Cathy understands the challenges of juggling a family and career. She has committed her life to building relationships between families and their children.

    Community again, who would have thought?

    I have thoroughly enjoyed Yard Wine, recalling similar events my husband and I have with our apartment complex over cups of hot tea on cold nights, and even further back to college with my roommate and mocha brewed in a two-cup coffeepot.
