SO GREAT I AM DYING FOR MORE!!!!!

How anyone could not gain some of the best deer hunting info to add to their hunting strategy from this book would be a mystery. I am dying for author Joe Brooks to come out with another book as this edition has changed the way I hunt. I purchased this book last summer and now hunt farms that I never thought I could get permission on and have taken my two best bucks to date. This is one of the few books that seems to tell the truth about how to truly take trophy deer, and is a book that is not afraid to talk about all legal methods of hunting giant bucks, including a discussion about baiting and where it is used, which I give the author great respect for not being afraid of the subject. I personally went to meet the Joe Brooks at Cabela's in Michigan and found him to be the most knowledgable deer hunter I have met and was more helpful than I had anticipated. I would think that anyone that hunts with him would be the luckiest hunter in the woods.

Too many pictures of the same bucks!

This book gets alot of press through Cabela's because Joe has the "inside track" as the manager of the boat department at the Dundee, MI store. Bought this book thinking I'd learn something new but found it to be basic information that anyone who has hunted whitetails very long should already know; although it may be good for the begining hunter lacking whitetail knowledge. Too many pictures of the same bucks! I counted 8 diffrent bucks that take up 30 pages; one buck appears on 6 pages and appears to be shot by Joe's partner "Mark".

    Baiter

The first 8 chapters I was unimpressed with the common methodolgy to deer hunting, then came chaper 9. Essentially the author advocates using bait for trophy whitetail. Obviously he has missed the difference between hunting and harvesting. I can harvest a cow. Don't waste your money.

    This is the one!!!!

Don't buy another deer hunting book before you buy this one. This book will change the way you think about trophy bucks and how to put them on your wall. This book has made me a true believer that I too can take home a monster buck every season. This is the most up to date and usefull information out there.

    Fantastic

I have never read a book with so much real truth about trophy whitetail hunting. It is nice to see someone who shows you step by step the real secrets, without the use of gadgets or useless information on rub lines or scrape lines. This book will be a classic and should outsell everything else on the market.
