Overview

The empty yellow house on Grandpa Alden's island was shrouded in Mystery for over 40 years. When Grandpa tells Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden of the curious circumstances in which the house became vacant, the children are not satisfied to leave the story unfinished.     Can't get enough!!

    The Boxcar Children stories are great adventures and family oriented and are a must for any child right along with Nancy Drew, Bobbsey Twins, Hardy Boys, Trixie Belden. I also recommend the BRIO GIRLS, Detective Zack books and Red Rock series.
    All keep the reader wanting more!

    What I think about the book

    The book was ok. The characters in the book were great. The part that I mostly liked was when they were in the forest Mr. Hill came. It was a very interesting book. I read this book because I like mysteries. They are one of my favorite books.

    The best book I ever read

    This book is realy good. I am reading the whole seires so I know. I read the book twice it was so good! I would recomend this book to any one! I love it!

    Really LIKED it!

    It is the first of the boxcar children books I have read. I plan on reading them all now. I would recommend this book to any new (or old) reader!
