Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Here is another adventurous tale of the trio, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose. If you have read the preceding "A to Z Mysteries" you'll know these three friends well. This story takes place in Costra when the threesome decide to visit another friend, Samir Bin Oz. Samir meets his buddies at the airport and transports them by helicopter to his castle After discovering that Samir's dad, King Farhad, is building an aquarium, they explore the area, and go for a boat ride. Then they discover that the king's gold has been stolen. While the police are rounding up suspects, the fearless foursome find clues of their own. Suspects include a mysterious magician staying at the castle, a marine biologist who needs to leave the area suddenly, and the construction foreman who allegedly knows nothing about the tunnel found at the building site of the aquarium. After scuba diving, Dink gets a clue as to how the gold has been hidden in front of everyone's eyes, and he quickly leads his friends to the marine biologist's boat while waiting for help to arrive. The criminal is caught and the gold is returned to the king as they celebrate Sammi's birthday. Now you know why a magician was staying at the castle. 2005, Random House, Ages 8 to 12.
