Meet the Author

I don't do 'normal'.

I've found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader.
I take the normal and switch it around.
For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it's the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I've done my job as an author I want to be.
I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different.
My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won't label myself because I don't like sticking to one genre.
My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second.
I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept.
I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life's hard enough as it is!
I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come.....
Til next time...

It's now been a couple of days since finishing this book and I still am not exactly sure how to write what I really want to say, but here goes... I gave this book 5 stars, but... I didn't do it because I thought it had perfect writing or editing. I didn't do it because I thought it had the perfect plot. I didn't do it because it had perfect scenes. I didn't do it because it had the perfect HEA ending. I did it purely on EMOTION! The prologue gutted me. So much that I almost couldn't read it any further, but I pushed ahead. I am so thankful that I did. I cried, I smiled, then I cried again. This book took me deep. Before I even realized it, I was reading the final scene. Don't be scared...read it!

There are just no words that I can say that will do this book or this author any justice. This book was so captivating and dark and all-consuming and scorching f***ing HOTT and I can go on and on and on.  This is the first book I have read from Margaret McHeyzer and she totally f***ing blew me away. First of all, her writing style, creativity and delivery of this story is f***ing impeccable and mesmerizing. Yes, this is not the first book ever written about sexual abuse as a young child, but good lawd, this authors ability to draw you in and make you feel every single ounce of f***ing raw emotion and turmoil that Ryan went through is awe-inspiring, riveting and fascinating. I cried, broke down, my heart hurt for this man. This man that is so damaged and seeks freedom of his demons. My gosh and these characters!!! Stella is just WOW! There were moments in the story where I just wanted to stand and f***ing applaud her. And Mason, oh Mason! There are definitely scenes where I had to take a break to catch my bearings and go for a change of underwear because holy hot motherf***in damn!!!  I ached. My body ached all over from all the emotions that came pouring out of these pages. I devoured it. I savored it. I f***ing LOVED it!! An intense emotional read that yes, has some triggers that may not be for everyone but also hot as f**k panty soaking sex scenes. A definite re-read and a highly recommend must read.

REVIEW Bliss is the only way to describe when I get carried away in a book. The prologue had me shuddering and heartbroken for this child, Ryan. We get a horrible insight into the physical, mental and emotion abuse at the hand of his uncle. For some readers, this would be enough to put the book down. The reason I didn’t is because of the question on the cover ‘what does it take for a broken man to finally find freedom?’  Reading about the shell of a man that Ryan had become had me on his side from the start. To me, he struggles with life on a daily, if not hourly basis. He has been hiding his feelings for his best friend Mason for decades. The love they share for each other is no short of wonderful. They are torn between what they want and what they think it right.  The struggle between them is heartbreaking and it’s just beautiful when they be honest with each other.  This is where things take a twist tied within a beautiful story of healing. Mason is linked to a woman named Stella but not in the way you would think. I thought Mason was intense but that was until I met Stella. She is the key to getting Ryan back. She finds the thorn in his past and she won’t relent until she has him not defining himself that way anymore. There is one scene where she finds him and ties him up – but not for role play but to keep him from running.  The scenes are sexy, hot and wonderful. It also contains M/M, M/M/F, M/F and F/F so there’s something there for everyone. This book stuck with me long after I finished it and gifted a copy to my friend and I can’t wait for him to read it so we can discuss.  I loved this book for the fact that from the beginning where I thought ‘oh blimey – am I going to be able to stomach this?’ to ‘what a happy ever after!’ McHeyzer is fast becoming one of my highly recommended authors. There is not a book I have read of hers that I haven’t enjoyed.  You can’t buy Yes, Master from Amazon as it’s been banned for some unknown reason which is truly a shame, this is one of the best reads I have read in a long time and it’s really stuck with me.  I bought a copy of this book with my own money.

This is one of those books where I was slammed right in the chest with an emotion I can’t describe, right from the very first page.  It was like a horrific accident, you know it’s going to be awful and yet you can’t turn away.  And it didn’t get better.  My gut churned, my eyes watered and burned, my heart literally ached for Ryan. I couldn’t get through the PROLOGUE fast enough!  Yes, that’s right, just the prologue!  When I came to the last sentence and turned the page I sighed in relief because I was pulled to the present…and I could only hope that things were going to get better for my hero.  And they did…but not before they got much, much worse. I can honestly say, this book will stay with me in some capacity forever. There is a story of innocence lost, and freedom from demons that haunt a man when he finally finds his place. It’s a hard read, one that probably holds many triggers for people…but if you can, give it a try. The love between a man and woman, a sub and his Master, and two friends is truly one of a kind.

I picked up this book because of the name. To be honest I do this most of the time. If the tittle or the name catches my eye, chances are I will grab the book. As I start to read, I say to my self WTH, this is not what this book is about. I look at the cover and read the title. Ok so what's going on. None the less I continue to read. Be advise this book has ADULT content and very graphic situations. I enjoyed reading about Ryan and his struggle. Yes, Master a little different than the others I have read. Super intense and some very sexy scenes and a great message. Over all its a great read. Happy Reading!

I love this author.  She has a much different approach to writing.  She's fresh and not afraid to take on the heavy subject. Now to the book - I loved this book.  The characters were real to me.  I felt the pain and the guilt, the hurt, the humiliation.  I was in tears just through the prologue, but the books it'self was amazing.  True to her style Margaret brings you to the edge and gently nudges you back for more.  She keeps you captivated and wanting more and more.  She has such a fantastic deliver that the book is "made for you".   If you haven't lived in this world of hurt, healing and happily ever after, you should give it a try.  You won't regret it.

I read this book about a month ago and it still comes to mind from time to time. What an emotional roller coaster this one took me on. There were parts that were hard to read and a little heartbreaking but that's what makes a good book...one where you can connect emotionally to the characters, cry and laugh with them. I found myself reading deep into the night with the "one more chapter", then"one more paragraph" until I was awoken when the iPad smacked me awake. If you are looking for a read that will totally own you for a while, buy this book!

I read the sample on Amazon and had to get the book. Does the story visit some dark, disturbing content, yes. Does it help you further understand Ryan and make you feel everything he is struggling with, absolutely! I'm not one for spoilers, so here's what I will give you... if you are intrigued by the idea of two hot men who are best friends getting to work through some long buried issues with the help of a gorgeous and strong female Master, then give this book a chance. Caramel salted Master? Yes, please!

My first book by Margaret McHeyzer and it definitely won't be my last. I'm a reader of all genres, the blurb had me intrigued to say the least. This is a powerful story about tragic pasts and the struggles to overcome them. The plot/premise is unconventional, yet it makes the story that much more incredible. If you like your books a tab bit dark, a little twisted, and completely original, then you will love this one. There's nothing ordinary in this one.

Ryan Jenkins is a man who has control in his professional life as a Sergeant Major in the Army.  His personal life, however, is chaos. He is a divorced father that is haunted daily by his past. His life long best friend, Mason Carter battled drug addiction until he met Stella Hartley.  With their help, Ryan starts on a journey of  healing to find the balance he so desperately needs in his life.      Yes, Master is an intense emotional story and a hauntingly beautiful read. Once I started it, I  didn't want to put it down.  It took me days to get over my book hangover.  It does contain M/F, M/M, M/M/F, and F/F scenes, BDSM as well as childhood sexual abuse. For some, it has some very uncomfortable subject matter, but it is so worth the read.  Margaret's writing is amazing, in the fact that, I immediately felt an emotional connection to her characters, especially Ryan. I cried with him.  I cried with him some more, then a lot more.  His anger and his pain consumed me, just like it did him and I wanted nothing more than to see him live without it.  I was happy with and for him.  The passion and pleasure he experiences had me feeling hot, hot, hot!  If you love a book that grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go until the roller coaster of emotion is over, this is a must read for you.

Yowzer... totally different spin with a woman (women) as the dom. This was such a compassionate look at child abuse and how it absolutely ruins lives. It goes into how families never suspect it is happening in their own families and how you need to be vigilant and unfortunately suspicious of people who are too good to be true. this is a sad story but with a truly happy end because the abuse that Ryan suffered he was able to work through unconventional means by society views but if it works don't knock it and he and Mason were able to be open and honest about their feelings for each other that they were never able to face otherwise. Excellent reading and will look forward to more from this author.

I have read all the books that Margaret has written and this book happened to be the last one on my list. I knew what this book was about, but i was very unsure if i wanted to read about it. I put it off for quite a while, but during my holidays i thought i would set aside some time to 'start it' and see how it went. I am very glad that i pushed through as it is quite an extraordinary storyline. This is one hell of a love story. Sure, it is disturbing in parts, but that is what makes Ryan so lovable. I fell in love with all of the characters and would like to read more about Mason in another book. His story would be great to hear about. You can feel Ryan's pain but also his love. It is a book that sticks with you for a while afterwards, but i have been smiling. It makes you feel good to know that love has conquered over his pain. I do HIGHLY recommend this book. And all her other books. Margaret is a great writer. I can't wait for her next release.

I loved this book! I applaud the author for writing about a sensitive subject. This is about a man who has never been able to really  deal with what happened to him when he was a child by someone who should've protected him. We all deal with  traumatic things in our out ways. This man meets a woman who helps him and loves him the way it works for them. Who are we to judge? Those in glass house cast the first stone..... stay out of other people bedrooms, stop. Great book! I strongly recommend this book. No Spoilers. Read it for yourself .

so many emotions ran through me when I read this book, I wanted to cry. Hell I did. I also wanted to reach into this book and throat punch Ry's Uncle. The book was thick with Ryan's emotional tournament. Though this was one of the most heart wrenching books I have read in a while, It is also one of the most heart warming books. To see the love develop between the characters is awesome. And to see the unyielding love Ryan is able to give his daughter after such a tortured past is amazing.
