The third of Your Old Droog's short, celebrity-themed 2022 releases, Yodney Dangerfield clearly evokes its namesake, as the emcee refines his comedic timing and mastery of delivering swift punch lines. Far more of a proper comedian than a mere joke rapper, he's equally skilled at clever lyrical juxtapositions, vicious put-downs, and offbeat references. On "50K or Brunch," he addresses an inferior rapper as a "fake Earl Sweatshirt -- Earl Cardigan," and later rhymes Zoot Horn Rollo with Cornholio. Nowhere near as nerdy as he might seem, he's more like a cool-headed battle rapper who can shut his opponents down without breaking a sweat.
