Overview

A gripping historical tale that transcends centuries and hearts to show that every life...and every life circumstance...has ultimate purpose.

He could have been any of the men
I saw every day on the streets of Jerusalem.
But when he looked straight at me,
I was overcome with an emotion I could not name....

In A.D. 25, living in close proximity to the tempestuous Herod Antipas meant continually skirting the edge of danger.
Rumors abounded of an uneducated carpenter's son from the Galil-Yeshua ben Yosef, of Nazeret-who supposedly healed the sick. Yohana had never put much stock in so-called miracle workers. So many charlatans plied their trade in and around Jerusalem, making fantastic sums off a gullible and desperate populace. Yohana was determined not to be one of those drawn in, yet there was something different about this new miracle worker....

Yohana, one of the woman followers of Yeshua ben Yosef from Natzeret comes alive in this wonderful book from Deborah Galiley. In Yohana, you will experience all the major characters and friends around Yeshua. You will intimately meet Yeshua's mother, Miryam. You will see the Messiah through the Jewish eyes of his early followers and gain a new understanding of His power in His time. Yohana is a great book about a great woman. Yohana has had everything given to her in her life. She has a fantastic husband who loves her. She lives in Herod's palace, and her husband is one of Herod's overseers-a clerk of his treasury. But Yohana is unfulfilled and the death of her daughter and her many stillborn children haunt her. The tumor in her leg dogs her every step. When Yohana meets Yeshua, her life begins to change. First, he heals her body, and slowly, her association with Yeshua heals her spirit. Deborah Galiley rounds out a woman, Yohana, from the Net Testament who is otherwise unknown to us. Ms. Galiley gives Yohana life and explains her motivations and purpose. This is a very satisfying novel that will please the heart and soul.
