Many chapters contain practice activities and questions to help parents retain new skills, while the appendices include references, general resources, checklists, and guidelines for evaluating educational programs. Once parents have worked through You and Your Deaf Child, this friendly guide can be referred to for specific information and advice as different situations arise.

My son is hard of hearing and we live in a country with no support services for children like him. As soon as we started reading it described exactly what we were going through in all senses. It leads you through basic things about hearing loss, how to deal with it in the family, information on hearing aids and the importance of family and therapy. Great for parents! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
