I was't exactly expecting this YA Harlequin book to be so good.

This short story is only 85 pages long. It is a YA book, perfectly edited, published by Harlequin Romance. I was not expecting it to be so good. I needed a light read and this was on the free list, it was not a hysterical romance and I did not want read anything with violence, so I took a chance. I am glad I did. It reminded of being a teenager, caught between a world filled with responsibilities and learning it is not a perfect world, yet being able to enjoy new experiences and still having hope for a happy ending. This book is a family of a mom, a brother and sister, who suddenly find themselves homeless and living in their car. It was a wonderful book. It is chick lit. There are no racy adult themes, violence, murder, cursing, religion, abuse or drug use. If you are wondering how a book could be good without these topics, read this and find out. You will be glad you did. For ages 13 and up.

    Heartfelt Reading for Teens

When a young teen loses her heart and her home in the same day, how does she pick up the shattered pieces and go on when her family’s destination is unknown? Get ready for a heartbreaking story as seen through the eyes of Jennifer and prepare to be deeply moved when the pain, humiliation and loss is lived through the heart of youth. Never doubt the resilience and maturity a teen can demonstrate as Jennifer goes from hiding behind a new name and a shocking haircut to learning there is life after loss and it may be different, but exactly what you need.

You Are Here by Liz Fichera takes an ugly, but realistic topic and places her main character in the middle of the chaos, with rapid fire precision, while allowing Jennifer to grow from within and to see a brighter future. In just a few pages, Ms. Fichera will capture your heart and fuel your mind, as you wonder about the thousands facing Jennifer’s family crisis and hope they, too find a haven to cling to. Who knows, maybe you’ll even find a cause to champion.

Liz Fichera writes from the heart, pouring life into her words, her world and her characters.
