I bought this book for my son and daughter so that they could learn to draw. My son especially seems to struggle alot more with drawing and I thought this would help him out. It was a hit with both of them right off the bat. Even family members have come to the house and enjoyed using the book to draw with the kids. It'a a great book for anytime and it will definitely help with their creative side.

My 7 year old loves this book! She received it a month ago and still enjoys using it almost every day. It is wonderfully simple to use, so she can understand the concepts on her own. It has you use graph paper, but you can make your own as it only takes a few lines. There are many animals you can learn to draw. One aspect I really appreciate is that there are several begginer ones so my daughter could feel successful right away and keep her interest in it, and it also has progressively harder ones that she needs to keep working on. I would highly reccomend this book for any child, probably 7 and up, who is really intersted in learning to draw and self motivated.

My 6 year old, and my 5 year old, both have gained better drawing skills from this one book! Really simple lessons. Keeps them busy for a good length of time, as well!

A great book for children (or adults) who are interested in learning how to draw. The directions are clear and simple. I bought this book for my 7 years old grandson who was always drawing something. Now he spends hours copying and perfecting his drawings. The book not only shows how to draw specific objects, but it gives general directions that can be applied to other things. It descibes how to look for the overall shape of an object and then fill in the details. It is a large book and rather cumbersome for children to carry. My one suggestion would be for the book to be a 3 hole instead of spiral so that the pages could be taken out.
