    It did change my life

I first learned of this approach based on Health Realization through a class and that, plus this book which is the best I have found, has changed my life profoundly. I've been on medication for depression (which really helped, don't get me wrong) and a little therapy (but that mostly made me feel worse), but at best I was functional, not happy. Adopting the ways of thinking (and not thinking) in this book has turned me into a happy person, almost all of almost every day. I never thought that was even possible. It is so, so rewarding that I would never go back. Everything is better: my parenting, marriage, I lost 40 pounds, but most importantly I feel wonderful and enjoy life instead of stumbling through it in a cloudy, faintly depressed and ovethinking haze.

For $12? Give it a shot. Take care of yourself (don't jump off your meds if you are on them), but see if this helps you. This is great for anyone just dealing with dificult life circumstances as well, I still have some major challenges including children with special needs but this book changed me so I can be resilient and enjoy the ride anyway.

    Repetetive

This book focuses on Psychology of the Mind. Carlson presents it little by little leaving lingering questions throughout the book. Most of these questions are answered by the time you reach the end, but it seems like the book could have been half it's length and still impart all the pertinent information.

    Life changing material

If you've ever been in therapy that went nowhere and seemed to linger on and on, this book will help you put an end to all that. It was repetitive, BUT I think that is good in that central principles will be more likely remembered.

    Simple approach - Profound results

This book helped me immensely. The concept is so simple. The results will change your life. I shared this book with a friend who also found it to be one of the most important books he ever read in terms of becoming a happy person.

Not only for depression ..... Will make you a happier person

This book changed by life. I never realized that my outlook could be considered negative. Reading this book made me realize that I was sorely mistaken.... as are most individuals. I now take note when looking at the down side and remember to look at what is positive.
