Overview

It’s been said, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink." If there is no thirst, the horse will not drink. The same is true for atheists. If there is no thirst for God, there will be no search for truth. Comfort assures us, however, that something more than the evidence of creation must spur the atheist to head for the truth.

In this informative and enlightening book, Pastor Ray Comfort, author of the million-selling The Atheist Test, talks to the atheists and reveals not just the weakness of their arguments but the solid foundation upon which the Christian stands. Few books take the time to address the atheist's conscience. You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence not only gives empirical evidence for the existence of God, it shows atheists that they desperately need His forgiveness. Based on conversations Comfort has had with atheists on his blog, this book is an effective approach to questions about the existence of God.

Comfort answers questions such as:

  • Is there real evidence for the existence of God?
  • If God is in control, then why is there suffering and death?
  • Is there any evidence for life after death?

This entire stream of conversations between angry, “fundamentalist” atheists and Ray Comfort is witty, intelligent, and thought-provoking. Comfort responds with grace and boldness to each argument, proving without a doubt the existence of a Creator.

Written by the same man who ' proved' God's existence using a banana and who devoted an entire episode of his tv show 'proving' Einstein was a theist (which he was NOT). But if shutting your mind off and embracing ignorance is your cup of tea, then by all means...

If you are looking for evidence or thinking about anything, look elsewhere. Mr. Comfort has not the slightest clue what evolution is, what the logical foundations of skepticism, agnosticism, or atheism are, and has no clue what does and does not constitute evidence. This book is a waste of paper and ink.

Many athiests won't look honestly...they don't want evidence, they want justification for their choices. Good luck with that! When you choose to get honest...God is there.

Reasonable words to make anyone think... An honest person cannot ignore these truths.

This is the dumbest book I have ever tried to read. Anyone that believes in a single word of this crap is a moron.

There is no "evidence" for any god. This book tries to fabricate some and fails miserably. The author has no concept of logical reasoning or the definition of "proof".

To put it simply -- If you truly have a heart after Jesus, you can get a lot out of this book. If you are determined to reject the truth in the Bible, you won't like this book.

This book might be usefull... in a fictional universe where athiesm and evolution operate as the author belives they do. While the author may make rational arguments for belief they start from fatally flawed depictions of the opposing argument. I will not go as far as beliving that his misrepresentations are delibrate "straw man" arguments, but raising "questions" such as asking scientists to explain how the sexes could have seperatly evolved in every individual species (which no reputable scientist thinks happened) reduces the argument here to pure absurdia.

Mr. Comfort treats the material in a very enjoyable fashion. Which, unfortunately, can not be said of anyone I have read with the opposing views. He shows the truly profound fallacies of "Science" owning protected orthodoxies that can not be debated, let alone questioned! This is just the opposite of Science itself- the Greek definition of "follow the truth where ever it may lead". The protected orthodoxy of evolution has blind spots that are not allowed to be discussed critically. Mr. Comfort boldly points out blind spot over blind spot, along with circular reasoning and often schools of thought based on no reasoning at all. You don't have to have a Phd. in biology to see the holes in arguments- but you do need to understand reasoning. Mr. Comfort handles this very deftly. And did I mention he is a joy to read?
