Overview

A feast for lovers of American literature — the work of our greatest poet, redesigned and relaunched for a new generation of readers.

No poet is more emblematically American than Robert Frost. From "The Road Not Taken" to "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," he refined and even defined our sense of what poetry is and what it can do. T. S. Eliot judged him "the most eminent, the most distinguished Anglo-American poet now living," and he is the only writer in history to have been awarded four Pulitzer Prizes.

A collection of poems selected by Frost himself to be read and enjoyed by all readers, young and old.

Robert Frost is commonly regarded as America's greatest poet. Among his many honors are four Pulitzer Prizes and an appointment as Consultant in Poetry at the Library of Congress. He died in 1963.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Gisela Jernigan
This paperback collection of 50 poems by Robert Frost could be enjoyed by older children, teens and adults. Although not originally written for children, they are appealing to a wide age range and include old favorites like, "Fire and Ice," "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" and "Birches," plus some lesser known works. Most of the poems reflect Frost's deep feelings for nature. Includes title index and an introduction about the author.
From the Publisher
“The collection of 51 poems provides refreshing glimpses of nature through Frost's ageless craft and Nason's complementary wood engravings.” —The Horn Book

This is a wonderful book! Some of the poems are alittle deep, but otherwise it was great. It has very descriptive poetry. A lot of nature poems. Very good poetry to visualize. It is worthy of your time.
