Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
If your child has any doubts about lasting maternal feelings then this title should be quite reassuring. The mother (a tawny cat) and her child (sex specifically not indicated, but the kitten is blue) describe all the things that they like to do together. Mother promises to teach her little one all that she knows. The examples range from knowing your right hand from your left to flying a kite and engaging in art projects. Together they will make music, build sand castles and read books. Mother is always there from wake up until it is time to bed down for the night. Obviously this is a full time at home mom, since there is no mention of her going to work or the child attending daycare. The phrase "You mean the world to me" occurs several times throughout the text. A bit saccharine, but it will probably appeal to very young children. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

A beautiful book that my wife reads to our 2 year old daughter every night. When we ask her what book she wants to read she picks this one out first. The pictures are delightful and she loves to "read along".
This book would make a great gift for young parents and the young at heart.

This book arrived today and my three year old daughter and I just read through it. The illustrations are beautiful and sweet, and the book is surprisingly moving. I actually teared up while reading it! My daughter wanted to keep looking at all the pages, pointing out all the kitties, squirrels and birds. Definitely a hit! I'm going to order a few more for friends with babies and young kids.
