Gossip is the ultimate currency in Rosemary Beach, but Bethy and Tripp have managed to keep one big secret to themselves.Eight years ago, Tripp Newark was dating a rich girl he didn’t like and was on his way to Yale—and a future he didn’t want. The only way he could escape his predictable life would be to give up the money and power that came with his family’s name. And that’s exactly what he planned to do. At the end of the summer, he was going to ride off on his Harley and never look back. That was before he met Beth Lowry. It was only supposed to be a summer fling. She was a sixteen-year-old trailer-park girl who served drinks to his friends at Kerrington Country Club. They didn’t run in the same social circles. No one even knew they were friends, let alone lovers. Yet, for one summer, Bethy became his entire world. But he couldn’t give up on his plan. Library Journal
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Glines returns with another Rosemary Beach novel, featuring posh Tripp Newark and his secret past with not-so-posh Bethy Lowry, who works at the Kerrington Country Club. The setup: he's traveling the world instead of buying into his parents' country-club dreams, and she's remorseful after her boyfriend drowns while trying to save her when she'd dunked herself after yet another bender. Big tour, big advertising, big book club push.

You Were Mine

Everyone has that defining moment in life. That one choice you have to make. I had my moment, and it has haunted me ever since. In those defining moments, you either pave a road to happiness or you regret every step from then on. For me, I don’t know which road would have been the best, because between my two choices, neither of them included her.

I was young and so fucking scared. Scared of being forced by my parents to be someone I didn’t want to be. Scared of making the wrong choice. Scared of leaving her. But mostly, I was scared of losing her.

She was my regret. Leaving her changed me. The moment I climbed onto my bike and drove out of Rosemary Beach, Florida, I left true joy behind. I’d only had that summer with her, three months that altered me forever. But what I would never be able to forgive myself for was that they had changed her just as much. She was beyond broken now. I couldn’t reach her.

Seeing her in pain broke my soul. Losing my cousin Jace had caused deep pain in both of us, something I never wanted to relive. He would forever be in my heart. I’d never forget his laugh and the easy way he loved and lived his life. He didn’t live in the world of fear I inhabited. He chose his path, and he walked it. He was the better man. And I had been able to stand back and let him have her. She deserved the better man.

Now he was gone, and both of our worlds were thrown off-balance. Because I couldn’t stand back anymore. No one was protecting her. No one was holding her, but she wouldn’t fucking let me near her. She wasn’t going to let me fix the past. I’d severed any hope of that when I’d driven away and left her with no other choice but to be with Jace.

If only I could embrace the emptiness and accept it. But I couldn’t. Not when I saw her lost, beautiful face. She needed me as much as I needed her. Our story wasn’t over. It would never be over. If I had to stay here and watch over her, even though she wouldn’t let me get near her, I would. For the rest of my motherfucking life. I’d stay right here. Making sure my Bethy was OK.

First off, I Love Abbi Glines! Everything I have read from her has been wonderful. I was excited for this book because both Bethy and Tripp intrigued me and the bits and pieces from the other books made me want to read their story. This book was one of the best books I've read in a while. It touched me in so many ways and created a lot of tears, but it was absolutely beautiful. I have nothing negative to say except I wish it was longer and that Tripp and Bethy would get another book.

I do have to say.... Very good book!!! Never want to read a book twice but I think I may go back and re-read just to better understand the dynamic between them. Very real and heartfelt!!!

(4.5 stars) I cannot get enough of this series & knew going in this had the potential to be an emotional story. It was but not overly so. Going in we have a hint that Bethy & Tripp have a history. I liked that only some chapters were flashbacks & that we can get the gist of what happened. I was also tremendously grateful that Jace's memory was not tarnished during the telling of this story. The last few books I've read with a characters death, their relationships are put down or made to be less than believed. I was a bit let down by the ending. Probably because I just wanted more of them. It felt a bit more rushed but because of their history, it wasn't unbelievable. This was a beautiful story & if any two characters deserve another book it's these two

5 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession MY THOUGHTS~  I got this book from a giveaway that I won.  Have you ever read a series that made you feel like you were coming home every time you picked up the next book? That's the Rosemary Beach Series for me! Very few authors have the ability to make me feel that, but Abbi Glines is definitely one of the few! I'm totally in love with the characters in all the Rosemary Beach and Too Far books! Tripp though? OMG he's amazing!! Bethy worked her way into my heart throughout the series too. Love that girl -hang ups and all! Author Abbi Glines has an amazing talent for making characters relatable to anyone in one way or another. They're all so well developed and seriously feel like people we know and love, or even maybe love to hate.... Read this series people!! Just 1-Click them all right now! It's unbelievably AWESOME! It's heart warming, heart breaking, sexy, emotional, fun, and just GREAT!

Finally, the mystery behind Bethy and Tripp's relationship is revealed. We've had hints of this romance throughout the series so I was excited to finally have their story told. Their story starts 8 years ago and one summer where love happened for both of them but then Tripp leaves and Bethy goes into a tailspin. She ended up pregnant and not able to find Tripp she ends up getting rid of the baby which does a lot of damage to her psyche. Then Bethy meets Jace, Tripp's cousin, and he brings her out of the darkness until he drowns saving her. Now Bethy is back in the darkness as guilt consumes her for Jace's death. Tripp becomes Bethy's shadow, he wants to make sure she is ok but she won't talk to him until one night she finally confronts him about following her to/from work which starts the road to healing. At Woods and Della's wedding we get to revisit with all the characters from the entire series which Tripp and Bethy find that the sparks are still there. Will Bethy be able to move past her guilt and acknowledge her feelings for Tripp? Does Tripp have the courage to fight for Bethy? Heart wrenching, passionate, surprising

I love this series. This book is probably my second favorite out of all of them with Fallen Too Far being the first. I was never that big of a fan of Bethy's character at first, but after learning more about her past and why she acts the way she does sometimes I grew to love her. And I love her history with Trip. This story was great but too short, I wish I could have another book for them!

Let me just say that I have loved every book in this series. This one was every bit as amazing as the ones that came before it. The characters do not disappoint and the story reads beautifully. Tripp is extremely hot and Bethy's story finally has its chance to shine. Her actions and reactions in prior stories make sense upon some reveals of her past. All in all this is a truly great book. Im not sure how Abbi Glines does it...upon starting one of her books, especially this series, you ponder how it could possibly be as good as the ones that came prior to it... Everytime she delivers a stellar read. I really love this series because each book builds on the next, but can stand alone as well. However, by reading them in order you get such a profound feel for each character. Love Rosemarry Beach and all who reside within it! Love this book!

This is book 9 in the Rosemary Beach series.  This is the story of Tripp and Beth and how their love survived over the years.  Abbi Glines  is a fantastic author.  I love her descriptions and the way she draws her readers into the story.  I absolutely loved the way the Tripp and  Beth love came together over the course of eight years.  They went through love, tragedy and was brought together again with the deep  love they have.  I love the Rosemary Beach Series, they are a wonderful group of people that you feel close too because of the fabulous  writing of Abbi Glines.  This is a definite, must read book.  I give it 4 stars.
