"I love this novel with its kick-ass assassin and its wild roller coaster ride of a romance. So this story for me was real to who the characters are and has a fantastic storyline. Gabriel and Anna’s romance is hilarious and deadly, but it is a beautiful one and I loved it. Young Love Murder is definitely a romantic adventure and one I highly recommend as a must read." - 5 HEARTS!!!!! - I Heart YA Books

    more from this reviewer

such a great read. (some scenes are probably best for the more mature YA reader)

Annabelle falls head over heels in love with hottie Gabriel. He is everything she wants and cannot stop thinking about him, even though she told herself she would never fall in love. Only problem is Annabelle has to kill his father. Yep, she is a teenage assassin, and Gabriel's father just happens to be her next contract. Awkward much?

I really enjoyed the story of following Anna and Gabriel's relationship, watching them fall in love and the ups and downs that goes along with it. There is so much that happens in this story: fights, betrayal, shootings...and thats just between the happy couple. Young Love Murder I must say first is meant for the mature YA reader. Lots of steamy romance scenes that might not be suitable for younger readers of YA.

Throughout the book we get Anna and Gabriel's POV. And I would find myself snorting or laughing out loud to the snarky, sarcastic inner monologues of them both. Let me tell you, these 2 characters have met their match when they found each other. The characters are great, not to deep, but fun none the less. The author obviously loves action movies and took time to do research on fighting tactics and weapons. Only problem I had was I felt like the book could have easily been split into 2 books. It really had 2 different plots and being all in one book made the story kind of long. But other than that, I enjoyed every bit of Young Love Murder and look forward to book 2 in the series.

    Loved It!

While I don't normally read YA this book was amazing. Anna was so much more then a teenager that it was easy to forget her age. Gabriel shocked me. I cant wait for the next Young Assassins.

BookWhisperer Review: Young Love Murder!!! New and Exciting

Love this storyline. Young Love Murder is very complex novel that had me engrossed from the start. They may appear to be just a couple of teenagers, but Annabelle and her brother Jackson are assassins. Having been trained from a very young age they are far from your typical teenagers, and much deadlier. At the start of this story Annabelle is sixteen years old, and a beautiful teenager happens to be just what her current job requires. As a young woman and an assassin she finds herself in a very precarious position when her mission involves attending High School, and winning the hearts of the son and nephew that will gain her access to her mark. In theory this is a carefully mastered and amazing plan, but when matters of the heart are concerned nothing will remain perfect or easy. From this point on this novel becomes a roller coaster of emotion and gruesome truth about this young girl’s life. It touches the highs and low of thin line between love and hate. As it uncovers this brutal world of murder and deception it will captivate readers by its ability to create a necessary evil out of such destruction. Brookshire offers the perfect mixture of dark and light, between Annabelle's life and the romance that ensues. It is crazy the number of directions this story will take you, and be prepared for the ride. This is a very long story, but the pace will carry you through without a hitch. I am curious if we will see another novel created about Jackson, and look forward to reading more from this talented author. Check out this forbidden tale, and the mayhem that will follow.
