This book is the parents version of the one's pediatricians use

This book is wonderful. This author is the one who set the standards for telephone triage. This is the parents version. When you call the pediatrician, they use the same guidlines wriiten by this author. I am an RN and did pediatric telephone triage for 5 yrs for several pediatricians offices and these guidlines are what we used all the time. I would recommend this book to any new or seasoned parent. I use the book myself for my own two children. It's excellent, I can't recommend it highly enough.

    This book is my Bible

This book has become my bible. Whenever there has been anything wrong with my children, I've always gone to this book first. From Rashes to Potty training. It's truly amazing.

    Great Resource

I have used this book from the very first day my daughter came home from the hospital. I have yet to have a question that isn't answered in this book. It gives a great concise description of about everything. For more in depth info you will need another book but the beauty of this book is that it is a quick reference. My peditrician recommended it on my initial visit.

Keep this book handy, you will refer to it often.

When expecting our first child, our pediatrician strongly urged us to purchase a copy of this book. 5.5 yrs. and another child later we still find this book a good sorce of information. Like a cookbook, I have many, many different ones thought I do have my favorite where I almost always return finding what I am looking for. 'Your Child's Health' is one of those books. This book covers the basics on most any topic you can imagine. From bee stings, Rosiolia, nightmares to coping with a death. My copy is looking quite tattered though still very useful.

    Best I Have Found!

My father, a pediatrician for over 35 years, first recommended this book to us. He attended a CE conference of the author and was suitably impressed. Since that time, we have used the book over and over and found it to be great! The straight forward advise, telling new and old parents alike, how to respond to a problem and when you should contact a Doctor or go to the emergency room is very helpful. Although I can't say much about breastfeeding, I would find it hard to believe that a FAAP would not know 'anything' about breastfeeding! This book is indispensable and we have given it as a gift to all our friends with new babies!
