Wellchosen verses and nice memorization advice: 366 well-chosen Bible verses, one for each day of the year, lead up to an excellent step by step guide to memorization in Rachelle Ayala’s Your Daily Bible Verse. The choices are nicely thought-provoking, avoiding the temptation to key everything to secular dates. February 14th brings a reminder from Philippians to “Do all things without murmurings and disputings”—wise advice for lovers and everyone. On April 1st there’s a reminder from Psalms of how God has “enlarged me when I was in distress.” Verses from Proverbs and Daniel urge wisdom while New Testament verses exhort and encourage, together with Old Testament reminders of God’s faithfulness. With verses covering the whole Bible, this book brings depth to memorization and promise to hope. A volume to treasure and to look at every day. Disclosure: I was given an ecopy of this book as a gift and I’m offering my honest review.

I am more then satisfied with, Your Daily Bible Verse, by Rachelle Ayala. It fits perfectly on my night stand, or sometimes it comes with me in my bag or even my backpack. This is well thought out, and would make such a great gift! Not to mention, it is wonderful to have these close by for us to use each morning, kids included. I especially like the back pages where she gives some very easy steps on how to memorize a Bible Verse. She makes it seem so easy even when I always found this to be a little complicated. I can memorize numbers, lol, I have phone numbers, loan numbers, account numbers, credit card numbers, some from several years ago that aren't even active any longer, but for some reason, memorizing script has always been an issue with me. Although, since using Rachelle's Bible Memorization Tips, I have to say this has helped tremendously! I really appreciate the effort she put into this and she has helped make this a new tradition in our home with the little ones. They actually ask each morning, "What is our verse of the day mommy?" It adds a lot of breakfast discussion too. We have already read through, Your Daily Bible Verse, and I am pleased with the verses the author chose to include in our daily discussions and memorizations. There are so many beautiful verses in the Bible and you can find 366 of them here. Another good point about this book, is that again, this would make a great gift for practically anybody, but it will be used and re read again and again and again and again. I do have the paperback edition, but even the Kindle would be great (which by the way it is free today January 7, 2013), so if you need a copy, I would pick it up asap. The other thing my family had fun with, was looking up our birthdays to see the verses that are listed. These are also special because they are like our own verses, and each of the kids, (with the exception of our not so talkative talking 2 year old, Deegan), has memorized. Deegan is working on it, lol, but he does love sitting together at the kitchen table with his cereal, siblings and whatever toys he brings to the table, and listening and contributing to our now, new morning talks. ** I received a copy of this book in return for my honest review **

"Your Daily Bible Verse" is such a good book! It is the perfect little book to carry in a handbag or to keep with your Bible for your daily devotionals. I would recommend it highly to use as a verse searcher. It makes it very, very easy to flip and find a beautiful promise of God. Although I read it off of the Kindle, I wish I had actually gotten the paperback because of the size and because it would be easier to carry around and read, rather than off of the Kindle.  The verses were categorized so beautifully! The way she selected the verses and then put them for each day of the year was really spectacular. The entire Bible is beautiful, in my opinion, but some parts stand out more so than others. She selected some beautiful verses that really showed off the magnificence of the Bible. A neat factor about the book, was how you could flip to your birth date and see the verse that corresponded with it! I really liked that. :)  Also, "Your Daily Bible Verse" in paperback, is really handy to read in the car, on the plane, etc… And, if you don't have time to read a chapter or two of the Bible, it makes it easy to read some of the verses before you start your day! I highly recommend this book. I have seen books like this before, such as Joyce Meyer's, but I liked the arranging of this one.  What a lovely job, Miss Ayala! Thank you for doing this handy, little book. :) It has a super nice little section in the back that shows you how to memorize a Bible verse quickly!

Reviewed by Jean Hall for Readers' Favorite Take the time each day to read a Bible verse and memorize it phrase by phrase. Rachelle Ayala suggests this spiritual devotion in Your Daily Bible Verse: 366 Verses Correlated by Month and Day. She notes that a difficult time in her life inspired her to write this guide and she hopes that the reader will be helped. She uses the formal majesty of the authorized King James version of the Christian Bible with quotations from the Old and the New Testament.  The dedication to Katleen Ping is suggested with Psalm 27:1. This verse urges the reader not to be afraid. The bulk of the book quotes verses using the number from the month and the day of the year. The 1st month is the chapter number and the 15th day is the verse number. The last portion of this guide gives a practical suggestion for verse memorization by using index cards and splitting the verse up by each of its phrases. Each shorter phrase is easier to remember, and eventually the reader will memorize the whole verse. The Bible's chapter and verse format gives the mind another way to recall the words and their meaning. This book is a handy calendar list and memorization guide with a bonus day's verse. But it is also a reflection of the author's point of view by the Christian scriptures she chooses to include. The text format is simple but the spiritual ideas are complex.

So I already thought that Rachelle was an amazing writer due to her last book that I read but the fact that she can jump from a love tell that involves a rape and possible abortion and then write this book that had to have had alot of time and effort put into writing it and choosing the write verses for each day, but know I am just blown out of the water. I love the fact that each date is actually the exact bible verses for example my birthday is November 2nd and the verse that goes with that date is "Luke 11:2 - And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth". The only thing that I would have preferred to be different are the verses are in King James format and I am partial to NIV or New International Version but that is just my personal preference. Other then that I think that is book is perfect.

Hello,  I hope ya'll are doing good!  I am very happy that I was given the opportunity to review Rachelle Ayala's book;  "Your Daily Bible Verse." First of all, I would like to say that I consider reading the Bible a privilege.  A privilege that is denied to many. Ms. Ayala has written a Bible study book unlike any other I have ever read.  She had me getting out my Bible before I was even finished reading the introduction! "Your Daily Bible Verse" is an unique book based on the month and day of the year.  For instance on July 19th, you would be reading the 7th Chapter, 19th Verse of which ever Book Ms. Ayala was led to choose for that day. With some Bible study books one can read the scripture and commentary and feel that they have finished their Bible study; without ever opening the Bible.  Ms. Ayala has written just the verse for the day.  Some of them I recognize and know the story behind it, while other days have me going to my Bible to find out what is going on around the chosen verse.  And, isn't that what a Bible study book should do?  Have you digging deeper into the word of God.  Ms. Ayala also gave me the idea to read the verses of my birthday.  You should give it a try, it is a fun way to spend time in the word of God. I definitely feel this is a book one would welcome into their Bible study collection.  5 Stars!!     Vicki Hale   Dragonfly Tales.

I think the concept behind this book is amazing! Memorization of the Bible is something that does not seem to be as popular as it once was. I don't think people even talk about it like they did when I was growing up. I was a champion when it came to memorizing Scripture, but as an adult, I have kind of fallen off the wagon.  This book has a different verse to memorize for each day of the year. All verses come from the King James Bible, and all verses are correlated to the month and day. For example, the verse for January 1 (1/1) is Genesis 1:1. My birthday is June 13 (6/13), and the verse is 1 Kings 6:13. This is unique idea, and I plant to enjoy memorizing more verses as I follow the book this year.  Are you in need a quick devotional that will give you a verse for the day? This may just be the book for you. Everyone can read one verse every day. I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Still being fairly new in learning The Bible I’ve found that any time I can get more scripture into my life I’m gaining a better understanding of The Bible. So good devotionals are something I’m always looking for. Just the fact that this is a devotional was a plus for me, what I really liked about it is that it’s just one verse a day. If I am short on time, or just want to quickly read a verse I can open up to today’s date and read the verse for that day. It’s not a highly involved devotional. A few minuets to read and reflect everyday is all it would take to get the maximum benefit out of this book. There is a really unique “twist” to this devotional. The versus correlate to the day so let’s take my birthday August 13 (8/13) – the verse for the day is Isaiah 8:13. So each day there is a different verse that correlates to whatever day it is. I’ve never seen a devotional do something like that. It’s a pretty unique idea. But my favorite part of the whole book is the last page where it has tips on how to memorize a Bible verse. I have a horrible memory but even I was able to memorize one of the verses using the technique Ayala gives.
