If one were to go on any discussion board on the worldwide internet, he or she would find hundreds of millions in ongoing, unending debates on countless websites about God's Word and its reliability and inspiration. In other words, 'is the Bible the Word of God?' Sadly, the reader of this book will find many people today, who are losing faith in the belief that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. Why?

Liberal-progressive Christianity has overtaken conservative Christianity in the last 70-years. These are the ones, who claim that the Bible is a book by man alone, not inspired; being subject to errors, contradictions, and "unscientific." Other critics argue that the Bible is nothing more than a collection of myths and legends. Still, others argue that archaeology and Biblical chronology cannot be harmonized. Other critics claim that the Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are not historically accurate. Others still, argue that Jesus was not divine, claiming he was merely a traveling sage.

Your Guide for Defending the Bible offers the Bible student an introduction to many different subject areas that will help him or her to follow the following biblical counsel:

1 Peter 3:15 English Standard Version (ESV)
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you

Jude 1:3 English Standard Version (ESV)
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude 1:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV)
And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire;

    This truly is learning the Bible made easy!

    I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Your Guide for Defending the Bible: Self-Education of the Bible Made Easy" by Edward Andrews. One only has to read the table of contents and the preface to know that this is the book that will provide bundles of valuable information designed to help the average reader gain the skills they need to get started in a regular Bible study or devotion. There are several reasons why people forego studying the Bible; some have a difficult time with the discipline of reading, some are overwhelmed as to where to start and still others get bogged down with the language. This book provides plenty of tools and techniques to help readers overcome these obstacles so they can actually enjoy their Bible study and become equipped to defend their faith against some of those difficult questions that will likely come up.
