Your Magic Touch (A Sweet Read from Kathy Carmichael)

She's determined to get the story...
Tabloid reporter Frannie Fielding arrives at Haliday Hall with three ghost hunters to investigate possible ghost infestations. But there's more to Frannie and the ghost hunters than meets the eye.

He'll do whatever it takes to stop her...
Sinclair Haliday, a dead ringer for Heathcliff or Mr. de Winter, finds the peskiest of the intruders to be Frannie with her endless questions--although he has to admit she's the cutest living creature he's ever seen. After being blackmailed into allowing the group into the Newport, RI mansion, Sinclair is determined the only story they will leave with is of a failed attempt to find ghosts.

Until they share a magic kiss...
In this romantic comedy, sparks fly as Frannie tries to resist Sinclair's magic touch.

Meet the Author

Award-winning comedy author Kathy Carmichael resides on Florida's west coast, along with her Scottish husband, two not-so-wee-sons, and a bevy of cantankerous felines. Kathy's women's fiction/romantic comedy, HOT FLASH, was named as one of the Top 10 Romance Fiction titles for 2009 by the American Library Association's BOOKLIST magazine.

A popular guest lecturer, Kathy presents seminars to writers and readers. Prior to becoming an author, Kathy worked in advertising, as a paralegal and as a communications consultant. She tended bar while in college, where she served drinks mixed with advice. This gave her a unique glimpse into people's lives and motivations, which she uses in her writing.

Despite rumors to the contrary, she has never been recruited by the CIA or the other CIA (Culinary Institute of America). Kathy loves hearing from readers.

I absolutely LOVED this story! Kathy Carmichael has been one of my favorite authors since I read Hot Flash a couple years ago. Your Magic Touch is such a fun, romantic read. I loved the paranormal/fantasy elements and highly recommend this one.

Thank you to Kathy Carmichael for a copy of Your Magic Touch. The genre is romantic comedy. This novel is also considered a novella.
    Synopsis:
What has Harrison done now? Sinclair asks this very question as he sits down to dinner with his aunt and uncle. They have a request. Could Sinclair stay here at the mansion and babysit ghost hunters and a reporter? Frannie is known for her humanitarian efforts. She writes for a tabloid magazine the Spy. She takes the assignment thinking she will only write about the mansion that she will visit and there is nothing more to it. Or is there? The ghost hunters are not your average ghost hunters. They are actually wizards with a mission. This mission involves both Frannie and Sinclair. Will they be successful? Are there truly ghosts in the mansion?
    My Thoughts:
I found this novel very easy to read. The characters are easy to follow and like. There really is no bad person. The plot is very simple. I may have given away too much already. I just didn’t find it enough of a story. I was surprised that it was a clean romance. I was expecting more of a Harlequin read.
If you are a fan of novellas then you might like this one. Jencey Gortney/Writer's Corner
