Overview

Creative's best devotional booklet ever is now available in a special commemorative edition. Nearly 3 million Christians have already been guided through Lent by Your Nail. Dr. Arden Mead invites the readers to deepen their relation with God ...and the devotions' catchy themes invite the readers to make devotions a daily part of their Lenten experience.

For the forty days of Lent, Your Nail invites readers to join in the venerable Lenten tradition of meditation-opening oneself to the meaning of Christ's suffering and death for their own lives. They are encouraged to use a real nail as a daily, hands-on reminder. The center of each meditation is the powerful word of Colossians 2:13b-14, "Christ has utterly wiped out the damning evidence of broken laws and commandments which always hung over our heads - by nailing it over his own."

Meet the Author

Rev. Dr. Arden Mead
T 1936-2006 T
Arden W. Mead—parish pastor, author, designer of worship, creative genius .... It is difficult to sum him up, for his gifts, God-given, were certainly both broad and far-reaching. Your Nail, his seminal (though not his first) devotional booklet, has sold in the millions and launched a cottage industry. As I reviewed it for this, its thirtieth anniversary edition, I was again struck (as I hope you will be, too), by Arden’s humble South Chicago upbringing (which always seemed to bubble beneath the surface of his writing and was evident in his natural, colloquial style), and by the strength of his certain faith in Christ’s “final glorious triumphant act.” Not a bad way to be summed up!
—Peter J. Mead, 10-31-06
