Written by Teoti Anderson, vice-president of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, this book is a little gem and worth its weight in gold.

Teoti has shared very dog-friendly, non-punishing ways to change unwanted behaviors, to prevent them from happening, and how to strengthen the human- animal bond with your puppy.

Easy to follow, step-by-step guide that will set every owner up for success. I just purchased this book at a trainer's conference, and found it to be the best beginning puppy raising guide I've ever read.

All the normal puppy problems are addressed, but the approach to changing these unwanted responses is totally cutting edge, and totally friendly. Teoti shows you how to teach your dog what you DO want him to do rather than focusing on punishing what you don't want the dog to do.

It's a guide to setting your puppy up for success, so that you'll have a well mannered companion for life. Learning shouldn't HURT, and Teoti's guide to gentle puppy lessons is a book that will help every pet owner to communicate more effectively, and to get the message across to the puppy without pain.

For anyone with a new puppy---and a splendid gift for those who have friends or families with new puppies--this book will prevent problems and guide the new puppy owner in a friendly, happy way.

Lots of practical solutions to pesky problems. A gem of a book, and I plan to buy several copies to give away to pet owning friends.
